Are website forms secure? Short answer – NO! Most are not secure at all! Most websites have a straight forward contact form that is sent to the owner via regular email. Therein lies the problem. Emails are notorious unsafe. You’ve heard of the analogy that its like sending a postcard. With no envelope just about anyone can read it. So too with emails; anyone with the right tools can read them!

Now, as you are concerned about security and/or visitors are sending sensitive information, you really want to make sure the emails are secured from malicious intercept. How? Encryption! In our next post we’ll step you through what it will take to set it up on a website (using a wordpress CMS).
